Non-Explosive Electro-Hydraulic Bottoms

Bo BoleynNEO Electro-Hydraulic Bailer Bottom (EHBB)

The EHBB is a non-explosive bailer actuating system used to dump cement slurry or bridging material with a standard gravity bailer.  To operate, current is applied to the EHBB causing a piston to retract through a ported sub, allowing the contents of the bailer to flow into the wellbore.

EHBB SYSTEM BENEFITS

  • Substantial cost savings compared to conventional bailer systems
  • No explosives needed
  • No radio silence needed
  • Dumps cement slurry
  • Dumps bridging material
  • Compatible with existing gravity bailer systems
  • Minimum turnaround time between runs
  • Maximum number of runs per operating day
  • Maximum reliability of the dump bailing system

GIS utilizes two NEO Bailer Bottom systems:

  • The standard EHBB is rated for use up to 350 degrees, and 15,000 psi
  • The High Pressure/High Temperature EHBB is rated for use up to 500 degrees and 30,000 psi
