Positive Sealing Plugs are used in Rigless zonal isolations and recompletions and set in casing diameters up to 3 1/2 times their run-in diameter.

Like Cast iron bridge plugs PSP's have robust anchor systems and elastomeric seals that provide immediate pressure isolation upon setting in casing.  Cement is placed atop the plug to assure long-term zonal isolation.

PSP's are run on wireline, slickline, tractor, coiled tubing, and threaded pipe and can be set in open hole, cased hole, perforated casing intervals, and gravel packs.

PSP's and their supporting  setting tools can be run to 20,000 psig (1,361 bar) and 400o Farenheit

* 2-1/8" PEP Plugs have a run in I.D. of 2.125" and can set in casing as big as 9-5/8"

* 1.75" PEP Plugs have a run in I.D. of 1.75" and can set in casing as big as 7"

GIS Triple Strength Casing Cleaner is composed of a 5 gallon batch of CaCl fluid that is mixed with a strong surfactant, which can be dumped downhole to clean scale and parrafin from the sidewall of the casing.  Other benefits include, displacing crude oil and providing a fluid where cement can set and cure properly.

GIS recommends dumping casing cleaner in wells with older casing and tubing, where the cement to casing bond may be questionable.

Global Intervention Services Plastic Plug...

...An effective alternative to a remedial squeeze job

GIS utilizes several types of resin from multiple sources.  We evaluate the job, and determine the correct resin for the well conditions and the application.

Primary applications of GIS Plastic Plugs are in gravel packs, open hole completions, and remedial plugbacks.

One of the most common uses for resin is to shut off water that is channeling in from a nearby zone.

Global Intervention Services manufactures and sells its own specially designed cement blends.

The GIS cement kits described below are intended for use in the USA service sector. Export Kits (with & without mix water) are available. Contact GIS for details.

• Mega Shear Bond Cement • (200° - 350° F Service Temp Range)The dry blend pail is easily identified by its blue lid.

This 16 ppg Expanding High Shear Bond service kit has two basic components; 1) a pail containing a High Sulfate Resistant (HSR) API cement blend and 2) a pail containing premeasured amount of distilled mix water. Each kit yields a 5 gallon batch of 16 ppg premium class H expanding cement slurry. The slurry contains select ad-mixes that optimize slurry dumpability & yield a plug with enhanced shear bond strength.

• High Temp Cement • (250° - 400° F Service Temp Range) The dry blend pail in this kit is easily identified by its Red Lid.

This cement slurry is a 16 ppg service kit having two basic components; 1) a pail containing an HSR API cement blend and 2) a pail containing a premeasured amount of distilled mix water. Each kit yields a 5 gallon batch of 16 ppg cement slurry that will yield the best hydraulic seal and anchors in wells with higher temperatures.  GIS plugs provide hydraulic seals that are anchored in place for the life of the well.

• 19 PPG Heavyweight Cement • (175° - 325° F Service Temp Range) The dry blend pail in this kit is easily identified by its black lid.

This cement slurry is a 19 ppg kit having two basic components; 1) a pail containing an HSR API cement blend and 2) a pail containing a premeasured amount of distilled mix water. Each kit yields a 5 gallon batch of 19 ppg expanding cement slurry. This 19 ppg slurry is ideal for dumping in heavier fluids such as brines and water based muds. This cement blend is designed to seal and stay in place for the life of the well.

• GIS Standard Cement • (200° - 350° F Service Range)

The dry blend pail in this kit is easily identified by its white Lid.

This 16 ppg cement slurry has two components; 1) a pail containing an HSR API Class H cement blend and 2) a pail containing a premeasured amount of distilled mix water. Each kit yields a 5 gallon batch of 16 ppg cement slurry. The cmt blend contains critical constituents needed to assure high ΔP plugs. GIS plugs provide hydraulic seals that stay in place for the life of the well.
